On-site Chair Massage
What is Chair massage?
1 or 2 licensed massage therapists will bring in a massage chair to your business, depending on the number of employees you have signed up. Chair massage is done fully dressed, no lotion or oil is used (unless requested). We generally focus on neck, shoulders, and low-back. It lasts anywhere from 5 to 15 minutes. We can come over lunch breaks, or anytime requested. Anyone who has ever sat behind a desk all day will recognize the symptoms of workplace fatigue: a stiff neck, achy shoulders, mental fogginess, etc. Instead of zoning out and being stressed out, get a chair massage to relieve aches and pains. Plus, Chair massage is a 'water-cooler' event, it allows employees to interact on a non-work basis and gives you a chance to find out how your employees are doing.

is considered the classic massage therapy method and is been the basis for many other types of massage such as deep tissue massage.
Swedish massage therapy relaxes muscles and enhances oxygen flow throughout the body. Using firm or gentle pressure, the practitioner will employ stroking, vibration, friction, kneading, and tapping to create flexibility, relaxation, increased oxygen in the blood, and the easing of aches and pains.
Therapists can apply deeper pressure to help rid toxins in the body, to help recover more quickly from injuries, and to reduce emotional and physical stress.
Regular swedish massage is an important part of maintaining overall good health and vitality.
Research has shown that after receiving swedish massage or other touch therapies, cancer patients feel more relaxed and experience less pain and/or anxiety. It has also been reported that massage can reduce nausea during chemotherapy.
*Deep Tissue Massage Therapy:
focuses on realigning deeper layers of muscles and connective tissue to relieve chronic muscle tension or injury.
Deep tissue techniques may result in some some discomfort and residual pain for a day or two following the treatment. The massage releases toxins into the body from the massaged tissue. You need to drink plenty of water for a while after the massage to flush your body of these toxins.
Most sessions will start with lighter pressure to warm the muscles and move slowly into the deeper pressure. It must be done this way because, if deep pressure is applied immediately, the muscles will automatically tighten for protection. This could result in more pain and possibly injury, so the massage therapist will instead begin with less pressure and slowly start the deeper techniques.
Most deep tissue massages will use a minimum of oils or lotions, because there isn’t much gliding or stroking of the skin.

*Trigger Point Therapy
is a form of massage therapy that focuses on trigger points in the body. These are not the same as the points used in acupressure, but are physical points in the body that cause pain and can be felt by touch. They are very common and are also commonly known as "muscle knots" that are inflammed.
There are two types of trigger points: active and latent. An active trigger point hurts without being touched and if it is pressed on, it will send the pain to another part of the body. Latent trigger points only hurt when they are touched and they will not send the pain elsewhere in the body.
The most obvious and instantaneous benefit of trigger point massage therapy is pain relief, but there are many more benefits that can be achieved over time with trigger point therapy, including the following:
- Increased range of motion
- More flexibility
- Better circulation
- Reduced stiffness
The above benefits all take time and several treatments. This is because multiple treatments help to teach the muscles how to move without causing as much pain.
This is a blend of all massage techniques: swedish, deep tissue, trigger point release, myofascial release, cross fiber friction, compression, stretching, range of motion, etc. Designed to aid an athlete and treat a specific group of muscles or joints. This is great pre-event, post-event, maintenance, or rehabilitation of an injury. Used to achieve better flexibility and range of motion, and can help aid in recovery of from the stress and strain associated with athletics.
*Hot Stone Massage Therapy
It is a luxurious experience to feel the deeply relaxing, penetrating heat from the basalt stones, gently and intentionally placed for maximum benefit.
Stone massage creates a deeply relaxing experience, allowing you to let go of all the stress that is held within your body. It is really an amazing experience not only for you, but to offer to the ones you love! One other benefit of hot stone massage is the results last longer, typically leaving your muscle tissue feeling relieved for 2-3 days longer than standard swedish massage.
Those experiencing a hot stone massage will notice a healing improvement of the following symptoms:
- Muscular aches, pains, sprains, and strains
- Poor circulation
- Rheumatic and arthritic conditions
- Back pain
- Stress, anxiety and tension
*Pre-natal Massage Therapy
Pregnancy is a time of changes that may produce discomforts and physical concerns. These can be addressed with appropriate massage therapy and body use guidance. Prenatal massage therapy is beneficial throughout the nine months of a low-risk pregnancy.
We do not perform massage on any woman still in her first tri-mester.
If you are having a higher risk pregnancy, discuss your condition with your physician or midwife. After further discussion, you may be able to receive therapy with additional written release.
The benefits of prenatal massage include relaxation, emotional support, reduced neck, back, and joint pain, muscle weakness and tension.
Sessions also assist with the management of digestive complaints such as constipation, gas, nausea, and indigestion!
